With a geothermal heating/air conditioning system, you will no longer be burdened with the "surprise" fluctuations of the fossil fuels. A customer called to say every day he "raises a glass" to the fact that he has made the right decision. His oil company gave him a courtesy call letting him know that his estimated bill for 2009 would be $6500. We all know fuel is expected to take an unprecidented jump but with this estimate along with the rebate for which he would qualify, he would almost pay for his new system in just 3 years. We had a very thrilled customer.

The average 2,000 square foot home with a closed horizontal loop would run from $20,000 - $30,000. This is just a ball-park price to show you it is very different from an air source heat pump. There are many variables that would affect the price such as the following: Size of your home requiring larger unit and increased loop, closed or open loop (open may require drilling another recharge well), soil type, location of loop, whether you opt for partial hot water heating, etc.
